Again, I must apologize for the lack of a Friday update. Life got in the way.
And I’m not here to make excuses.
But it does bring up a great point: Life gets in the way.
So how do we deal?
Well, learn to manage your wibbly-wobbly time for starters. And I’m terrible at it, as you’ve seen by my other posts, yeah?
Sometimes, there’s nothing you can do — kids get sick, you get sick, you’re tired, you have to work extra shifts, whatever. It happens.
So learn to just go with the flow. Things might not work out the way we always want them to, but that’s all right. The way I see it, Life getting in the way is sometimes a good thing. Life getting in the way of your craft sometimes means that yes, you are living and that’s what being an artist is all about.
It’s about Life.
It’s about learning and sharing in your own way.
So when Life sits here and gives you all the excuses in the world not to write (or paint or craft whatever) then try to look at it as a gift. A break. A challenge. An experience. A journey.
Because that is what life is, right?
